What makes me glad to be alive... This is an odd question: death is non-existence, and so I cannot be glad to be alive per se. "Gladness" is a relative term -- I'm glad I have hands, or my mother is still alive, etc. But glad to be alive? There is nothing with which that may be compared. To be alive is to be glad. !
